Shire of Dundas
The Shire of Dundas spreads across 93,000km2 and sits in the heart of the Great Western Woodlands. Dundas is unique in the sense of its everchanging landscape ranging from eucalypts and wildflowers to white sandy beaches.
The Shire of Dundas hosts the two main town localities of Norseman and Eucla. You will find Norseman sitting at the western end of the Nullarbor Plain and Eucla just before the South Australian border.
As of 2021, the Shire had an approximate population of 677 just a small size of its former glory during the years of the Gold Rush. Still, Dundas is filled with history and close-knit community.
The Shire of Dundas sits on Ngadju and Mirning land. Ngadju people have been living on Country surrounding Norseman and throughout Dundas for over 50,000 years.
Council hosts a range of community events which are often open to both visitors and locals alike. To keep up to date with Council activities, please visit the Shire of Dundas website.
